The Cards will be in Los Angeles battling the Dodgers. More important, however, is the Quarters Challenge at Ozzie's. Thanks to Gayle for the idea. We will take the first nine people to RSVP yes. Here are the rules: before the game, we will each draw the name of a Cardinals player in the starting line-up. Everyone will need about $5 in quarters. When your player comes to the plate, if he hits a single, everyone gives you a quarter. If he hits a double, everyone gives you 2 quarters...and so on up to 4 quarters for a home run. If your player makes an out, you give everyone a quarter. In the field, if your player makes a defensive play (catches a flyball, throws out a runner, etc.) everyone gives you a quarter. If you have the pitcher and he strikes out a batter everyone you a quarter.
RSVP fast to get your name on the list of 9. Once 9 is filled up we'll start a second list. Hope everyone can make it as it should be a great time. Go Birds.
